My little Lydia looks quite cute in polo shirts. I had purchased her a mauve one and a white one. Unfortunately, the first time she wore the white one she dropped a piece of pizza on it and I forgot to stain treat it right away. So when it came out of the wash, the stain had set in:
Ewww, pizza stain.
I didn't want to part with the shirt, since I had just gotten it and she had only worn it once. So I had the idea to cover that stain with fabric and it turned out SUPER CUTE!
I ironed a one inch hem on the sides of the fabric, lined it up carefully with the side seams of the shirt, stitched it into place with a zig-zag stitch all around then stitched a ribbon over the top and bottom seams.
Cuuuute!
I also whipped up a hair tie for Lydia's pony tail to match her newly stain-free shirt!
