House update - windows, a roof, and a slight problem

We've been visiting the new casa every weekend to check up on the progress and to keep ourselves happy about the wait!{let's just say that apartment living isn't a whole lot of fun for us and we are literally counting down the minutes until the new house is finished!} This weekend when we visited we saw that the windows had been installed and the shingles were put on the roof. Yay for progress!  Also all of the HVAC and plumbing had been roughed in.

The large window above the front door wasn't installed yet but it was sitting on the floor so it'll go in soon. The window is so large we think the builders might have had to crane it up to the second floor through the other bedroom window that wasn't installed yet.

The master bathroom tub was installed!  I am most excited about this tub.

Ahh, large tub.  I wanted to climb into it but it had just been installed and there was concrete drying under it. I didn't want to break anything!  As we were standing in the bathroom, I noticed it looked smaller than I remembered. {We are building the same floorplan as the model house in the neighborhood so we've been able to compare our house with that one.} I realized that the ceiling wasn't cathedral height like it was supposed to be!  Oh no!  To double check that I was right, we visited the model's master bath.

Sure enough, it has a cathedral ceiling. I want that cathedral ceiling. We paid for the option of having the master bedroom ceiling cathedraled {that's not a word but I'm going to make it a word!} and with that the bathroom ceiling was supposed to be cathedraled. So ... we talked to our sales manager and he assured us that it will be fixed and will indeed be cathedraled {my word not his, teehee}.

We were SO GLAD that we noticed it before any more work had been done! I don't know how they're going to fix it, but at least the walls and ceiling hadn't been dry walled yet. We don't expect to find any more errors, but, we're glad that we're visiting the house each week to make sure we don't find anything else!

We sure do enjoy walking through the house. It's so quiet and peaceful and it's just so very exciting to imagine ourselves living there. We still don't know when it will be finished. That's kinda driving me nuts because I want to be able to say, it'll be finished on XX day! and have something concrete to count down to. We should hopefully be able to get a concrete date before this month is out.
