Etsy Favorites Wednesday list - letters and numbers for baby!

I asked Jill over at Happy Hopefuls blog to be this week's guest curator for the Etsy Favorite Wednesday list. Many thanks to Jill for being willing to fill in for me while I'm on vacation!

In Jill's words ...

"My theme for Wendy's Etsy Favorites Wednesay list is the alphabet or the use of letters/numbers. I just have a thing for using words, phrases and letters around the house. Sometimes, I realize it might be too much, but also whenever we talk about a baby nursery or anything baby, I almost always go to alphabet related items. I don't know why, it's just what I like and my husband agrees that it's a good thing to have in a kids room. And since we already have the rest of our house pretty well set, we like to think about our next project, being a babies room. Keep in mind that when we are pregnant again, we aren't going to flood the room with alphabet, these are just some ideas on how to incorporate it.

Some of the things I like, are like this:

Alphabet soup graphics - Just simply a wall graphic that could be placed over a crib or a changing table. I think it's a fun way to decorate the wall and not have pictures on the wall. Plus, it take up a lot of space without spending too much money.

Numbers burp cloth - This is something that I like, because from what I hear from other mothers, you will never have too many burp cloths. And when you think that you have plenty, you'll still find yourself searching for one when you actually need one. Another cute way to include numbers/letters into the babies things...

Moss covered letter - Now, in my opinion, this could be used anywhere in your house but how fun would this be in a babies room to add fresh color and maybe a little accent to what the other colors might be. Plus, it's fun, right?

Changing mat - Whenever I think of Dick & Jane, I think of my mom. I thought this was pretty cute because it has the letter idea going on but it also would be like a security blanket, letting them know that Nana is always with them. Just cute.

Personalized hanger - And another creative way to incorporate their name without it being plastered on the wall. Sort of an innovative idea and yet sort of traditional and classic at the same time... Plus, if you had the right outfit you could hang it from it and it could be more than just the name.

Announcement poster - And lastly, because clearly I'm getting a little out of hand with all of these wonderful ideas that I have stacked in "my favs list" ... this one is just perfect! I think it's such a sweet momento that you or your child could keep forever. Stating facts about their birth into their family or the world. It's modern, fresh and so stinkin' cute!"

Thank you again, Jill, your picks are great!
