For the past two evenings I have been working on making a purse for myself. I finished it tonight and I'm pleased with the result! I couldn't have chosen a more in-your-face "IT'S HOLIDAY TIME!" fabric, but when I went shopping for holiday fabric, it was the best I could find. I got the free pattern online from a lovely blog called Oh Fransson! I never ever sew from a pattern, so I had to teach myself a few things along the way, but I had fun making it, and I have quite a sense of accomplishment now that it's complete. It has contrasting red star fabric on the inside and a lovely clay button. I'm going to carry it until Christmas and then make myself another bag (with a quieter, more subdued fabric) after the holidays.
